Custom Cell Trailer Serves Crowd at WM Phoenix Open

Future Technologies Venture, LLC and Cox Communications commissioned two custom outfitted Commander trailers from Mobile Pro Systems to deploy at this year’s Waste Management (WM) Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona. Known as the “Greatest Show on Grass,” the WM Phoenix Open draws more than 700,000 fans each year in what has become the best-attended golf tournament in the world.

The trailers were brought in to boost cell service in areas that previously had spotty or no coverage. Stable cellular connectivity is a priority for events and venues. It provides a seamless experience for spectators, vendors and concessions who rely on cell service for communicating and processing transactions.

MPS platforms are ideally suited for custom remote applications because they are engineered to generate and manage power supply for multiple technologies efficiently. This allows venues to have a portable cell tower, camera surveillance or PA system where they need it most—all served from one piece of equipment.
