Why owning access to your video is important.
When customers come to us after having tried mobile surveillance equipment rentals, we often hear what did not work out for them. Many were surprised to learn they wouldn’t be able to directly download segments of stored video to use as evidence or for other purposes. Instead, they had to submit the dates and time ranges they wanted and wait for the rental company to extract it and send the video files to them. It made them realize that when a business doesn’t own their own mobile surveillance equipment, they also don’t have full access to the video it records.
There are a number of reasons why it’s better to be the primary custodian of surveillance video rather than a third party. Because recordings are used for security and investigative purposes, it’s essential to preserve the integrity of the files, maintain confidentiality and prevent unauthorized use. When you are in control, there’s no waiting for someone else to respond to your requests. You can access and review recordings in a timely manner and as often as needed. If prosecution is necessary, you will have the video evidence in your possession and available for legal proceedings.
With Mobile Pro Systems products, your stored video surveillance recordings are available whenever you need them. You decide who has access and who does not. Have questions? Call 952-324-5645 and an MPS solutions consultant will be happy to tell you more.
