Law Enforcement Camera Trailer
The METRO LTD Law Enforcement Camera Trailer configuration is for organizations which need to move camera resources at a moment’s notice and require longer deployment times in critical areas. This configuration is ideal when utilized in disaster or emergency response situations. It provides high quality remote monitoring and basic motion detection. With its “Fold and Go” 470 watt solar panels, the hybrid METRO LTD mobile security camera trailer is able to be parked at a location for potentially indefinite periods of time providing remote site security and crime deterrence.
The use of 2 HD fixed cameras and an HD PTZ camera allows you to keep an eye on everything and zoom in on points of interest. When light is needed you have the ability to turn on 3 high intensity 360˚ lights and illuminate the area for better viewing. Motion sensors detect action in the general area around the system.
Batteries AGM 1200Ah
MPS uses only the most advanced battery technology for power capacity, manageability, safety, and most important long life. The Commander Series trailers use extremely high quality AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries that provide the best performance possible. These batteries are considered gasless with their stabilized electrolyte and will not corrode the interior and electronic components like standard flooded ‘wet cell’ batteries do. Because the batteries are non-spillable they are fully compliant with D.O.T. over the road regulations. MPS places the batteries in a configuration that maintains battery normalization and provides even charging to all batteries. The size of the battery module is determined by the electronic equipment load and operation time needed for the electronic components.
The standard battery modules are in 1200Ah and 600Ah. Ah (Amp Hours). If you have a system that is drawing 3 amps (36w) @ 12vdc, the system will operate for 400 hours on a full charge.
This configuration includes the 1200Ah module.
Onan generator supplies 4000W of available power to and charges the battery banks at 110 amps of battery charging power. The charging system is managed to charge the batteries up to 8 hours as needed. This system dramatically extends the life of the batteries and will maintain a typical configuration for up to 2 months between fuelings.This option is important in long-term or short deployment scenarios.
ATTENTION GETTERS! These high energy LED strobe lights provide strong flashes of sequenced light. They are available in RED / BLUE or BLUE/BLUE as law enforcement requires, or YELLOW / BLUE, WHITE / WHITE and WHITE / YELLOW for general use. The lights can be remote controlled or automated.
MPS offers multiple configurations and brands of fixed cameras typically from 1 MP to 5 MP. For best system performance, we recommend using cameras with LOW POWER consumption. Camera technology is advancing rapidly and MPS is capable of adapting to implementing the advancements in camera technology. For extremely low power configurations, exacqVison offers the ability to install exacqVision Edge placing the NVR directly on the camera maintaining minimal power consumption. Combining several camera technologies together can provide extremely effective monitoring.
This configuration includes two fixed cameras.

MPS offers multiple configurations and brands of PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) cameras typically from 1 MP to 5 MP. Camera technology is advancing rapidly and MPS is capable of adapting to implementing the advancements in camera technology and how they are integrated onto our video surveillance platforms.
This configuration includes one PTZ camera.
The MPS 3400 Solar module boasts over 400W of charge capabilities and is considered a “RUN” option in most configurations. Most parts of the country will see sufficient sun for extended charging times. The combination of solar and generator options offer a powerful solution.
The MPS standard is to use an i5 4th Gen Processor, 8+ GB Ram, 1TB Drive, Windows 10 laptops in our configurations. The Intel i5 4th generation processor provides the lowest power consumption, yet provides all of the performance necessary to operate any of the current NVR systems. The laptops are supplied fully configured for low power usage along with VMS software, all technical data for installed equipment, troubleshooting and operational tools necessary to operate and maintain your system.
MPS uses Cradlepoint as our standard cellular option. This durable hardware offers powerful WiFi connectivity creating a local WiFi Hotspot or WAN over WiFi Client. The device is a hardened embedded module providing the best cellular connectivity with multiple service providers available (Sprint, Verizon, T Mobile, AT&T etc.). This embedded router provides a flexible set of services, routing, and firewall functionality. The system also has the ability to connect to MPS’s RVTS.net remote access system.
The MPS standard for NVR (Network Video Recorder) / VMS (Video Management System) is exacqVision which provides an extremely efficient and effective method of recording video and easy viewing of your cameras. This compact and easy to use VMS includes all of the necessary functionality to view and control your cameras. Everything you can do locally can also be done remotely. The easy to use interface allows you to view, record, search for an event, see how much history you have recorded, export recorded video, set alarms, configure notifications and move cameras. In addition there is a web interface that can be used to provide service for smart phones, tablets and iPads. We also integrate with many of the major video management platforms such as Milestone, Genetec and ONSSI, amongst others.
Power Broker is a full featured remote status monitoring and control service that allows you to see critical information about your MPS products in the field. Status monitoring includes battery voltages, battery amps, system draw, temperatures of key components, fuel level, generator operation, and GPS location. Power Broker offers the ability to not only see the status of relays and inputs but allows you to remotely control those relays, providing the ability to turn on and lighting, audio, and other devices on the system. The ability to restart key electronic components is an important feature, especially when your MPS products are remotely deployed.

The motion detection and lighting module mounts at the mid mast level. These sensors not only detect motion around the surveillance trailer but also integrates with very effective LED flood lights for improved visuals and excellent deterrent capabilities. These configurations include 3 Optex motion sensors with dual PIR/Microwave and masking technologies. This option is capable of detecting motion up to 40’ in each direction. These modules are reasonably resistant to false alarms while providing highly sensitive detection of moving objects. The system also provides automation that maintains lights on, once activated, for 10 minutes and controlled so that they will not turn on during daylight hours. With internet access, lighting can be controlled remotely and alarm detection can be communicated offsite.

PTZ 1.3MP CAMERA - The Axis 1.3MP PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) camera offers an extremely clear and sharp imager HDTV 720p 1280x720 . One feature is low light capabilities B/W: 0.04 lux along with IR lighting sensitivity operation. The camera itself can use the ExacqVision EDGE server to provide on-board recording and VMS system with 3 day recording. The 18x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom, total 216x zoom is remotely controllable. This AXIS camera leads the available PTZ camera options for LOW POWER consumption. Wide operational temperature range of –40˚F to 131˚F.
MPS offers the most advanced configuration and services for mobile communications. The cellular is a hardened and embedded module providing reliable cellular connectivity using multiple service providers. Our systems provide several features for connecting to an internet source that include – Fast 4G and 4G+ embedded cellular, failover source cellular port, WAN (internet connection) over WiFi configuration, Direct to network configuration, and the ability to connect to Mesh systems or any other IP internet source. All of the possibilities can be programmed to failover so if one source fails, the second source attaches. The communications also provides a 200’ WiFi Hotspot access point to gain access to your device or to just retrieve internet.

An important feature is the ability to restart key electronic components.
This system offers an embedded GPS system that reports the system’s real time GPS location. The GPS graphical active map location can be viewed on Power Broker for each unit. There are options for placing a location limit on the system so that you will be notified if the system is being moved. There are also options to place a self-powered GPS device on the system through another service to gain GPS location if the system is not in use.

On all MPS system we provide the ability to set-up and manage notifications that can be displayed on the viewer, sent immediately to email and in some cases send text messages. This allows you to be notified of your system’s operational status, any video or motion detector alarms, or if the system is being tampered with.

This MPS system is capable of long-term deployments through its various powering technologies. One of the main features of this system is not only how it conserves and manages power but the methods that we produce power for your attached hardware. Our CARB certified generator system provides efficient energy conversion and maximizing the charging of the sizable battery bank. We can also add Solar to the reservoir of power. The addition of wind power is also a possibility in select cases. Fuel Cells are another option, providing a green clean energy.
The MPS 3400 ‘Fold and Go’ Solar module boasts up to 740W of charge capabilities. The Solar panels are actually embedded as a module on the MPS Commander Series trailer, allowing the ability to travel down the road without having to remove the panels and allow for one person deployment. This 740W configuration is considered a “RUN” option in most configurations. In almost every part of the country, there are extended periods of time where there is inefficient sun so the solar and generator options together offer a more powerful solution.

Strobe Lights are used for two purpose, 1 – As a deterrent indicating that the system is alive and monitoring and 2 – As indication that the system is in an alarm status. In both cases the Strobe Light option adds a great deal of visibility. The Strobe lights are able to be operated through automation, remote control, and local control. The strobes are available in red, blue, yellow, and white with 2 colors on each or all one color. Red and Blue are reserved for Law Enforcement configurations.

MPS uses the very latest in VMS (Video Management Systems) technology. We have selected a balance of an easy to use system that provides the greatest feature set and the lowest cost of operation. Our standard is to use the exacqVision VMS that allows remote access via an advanced or Web application. This system will stream video at the rate that you request. As a part of the remote video access you can fully manage all aspects of the video (recording, alarms and notifications, searching through historical video and capture and send recorded video).
As a part of the Video Management System, this configuration offers the capability to remotely go back in time and search for video of activities. Recorded video can be easily exported to a file on your computer and transfer via email. This system supports searching via;
- Time Line Search – select a time range with the ability to quick search through video
- Event Search – all of the events (motion detections) are displayed in a time line
- Thumb Nail Search – see a period of time as thumb nails and quickly determine changes in each image, then just clicking on the image opens that segment into multiple thumbs. You are able to drill in until you identify the event you are looking for.
- Smart Search – where you are able to select an area of the image and look for motion in that area over long periods of time.
- Long-Term Deployment
The amount of time that the system can be operated autonomously is dependent on the load you place on the system. This system will operate up to two months with the 20 Gallons of fuel. The amount of solar available will extend that time and it is possible that the system will operate indefinitely. Trouble free long-term deployments are what we strive for and MPS does its best to search out the products and configurations that will use the least amount of power and maintain quality operation. This configuration is estimated to operate for up to 2 months on 20Gal-US of fuel.
