The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in production. This role involves working closely with production teams, design engineers, and quality control to improve existing manufacturing processes and introduce new methodologies for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Engineering: Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for security products, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Production Support: Provide technical expertise to the production team, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing production workflows.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with engineering to transition new product designs into efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality control systems to ensure product compliance with industry standards and security regulations.
  • Equipment Optimization: Manage and optimize manufacturing equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and upgrades.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines within the manufacturing environment.
  • Company Support: Demonstrate versatility and adaptability by applying specialized knowledge and skills to support broader company objectives as directed by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of similar experience. 
  • Expertise in manufacturing processes and manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience solving problems using sound industrial engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of welding, assembly and electronics techniques.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, CAD and security industry is preferred.
  • Lean / Six Sigma or similar certifications are preferred.

Compensation:  $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year

Location:  West St. Paul, Minnesota

The Manufacturing Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products according to company specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow work instructions to ensure efficient and accurate production.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure correct assembly. 
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify parts meet specifications. 
  • Operate production machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report defects, malfunctions, or production errors to supervisors. 
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in electrical systems, generator repair, or related field.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing surveillance trailers or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of generator functionality, electrical principles, and mechanical systems. 
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, tools, and software specific to surveillance trailer systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capability to perform hands-on repairs and lift heavy equipment, when necessary, up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills:

  •  Experience with a variety of surveillance trailer brands and models.
  • Certifications related to electrical systems, generator repair, or surveillance technologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced security systems and renewable energy technologies used in surveillance trailers.

Compensation:  $21.00 – $24.00 per hour.

Location:  West St. Paul, Minnesota

The Product Integration Technician plays a key hands-on role in integrating security and surveillance technologies into Mobile Pro Systems’ mobile and fixed platforms. This position is ideal for individuals with field installation experience—such as security technicians working with cameras or access control—who are ready to bring their technical skills into a manufacturing and product development environment.

In this role, you’ll install, wire, and configure hardware devices such as cameras, strobes, sensors, and NVRs onto MPS platforms, preparing them for deployment in the field. You’ll work under the guidance of the Technical Integration Lead and collaborate with a team focused on delivering fully integrated, high-quality surveillance and security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and wire third-party security devices (e.g., IP cameras, sensors, horns, lights) into MPS product enclosures
  • Terminate cables, apply labels, route wiring, and assemble components according to build sheets and SOPs 
  • Assist in mechanical mounting and alignment of components for field-ready deployment 
  • Perform initial configuration of IP devices (e.g., camera IP address assignment, power setup, simple firmware updates)
  • Assist in testing and verifying device connectivity within the platform 
  • Follow standardized configuration steps under supervision of the Integration Lead
  • Conduct functional tests on integrated components prior to QA
  • Identify simple wiring, configuration, or connection issues and correct them or escalate as needed
  • Support troubleshooting documentation and learn from recurring issues to build skillset 
  • Complete checklists and logs to track components and integration steps
  • Communicate progress or blockers to the Integration Lead 
  • Follow safety and cleanliness standards in the integration work area

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in low-voltage system installation (e.g., security, access control, cameras)
  • Familiarity with running/terminating Cat5/Cat6 cable, mounting equipment, and working from wiring diagrams 
  • Basic understanding of IP networking (device setup, PoE, subnet masks, etc.)
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools and working in a workshop setting
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new systems

Preferred:

  • Experience working for a security integrator or service provider
  • Exposure to VMS platforms and IP camera systems from vendors 
  • Familiarity with AC/DC power, relays, or industrial enclosures is a plus
